Zac Efron is keen to meet acclaimed director James Cameron.

Speaking at the Oscars last weekend in Los Angeles, the Me and Orson Welles hunk praised Cameron’s latest movie, blockbuster Avatar.

Zac said of the award-winning movie: “Avatar was a breakthrough in so many ways.

“You walked away and just wanted to live in that world. It’s like the first time you saw Jurassic Park.”

As for meeting Cameron himself, Efron – who is keen to move on from the teen roles of films like High School Musical and 17 Again – added: “It would be great to shake his hand.”
